Autonomy

The development of autonomy is one of the main pillars of IBSA’s pedagogy. From the very beginning of schooling, we work to establish this skill. Very quickly, the youngest children put their bags in their lockers by themselves… The older children know how to file their work in their own folders. The older children know how to file their work in their name folders. The primary children look for information where it is found and use it wisely.
The back-to-school meeting allows parents to better understand how to follow their children’s progress.
Workshop models
Our learners are organised in small groups to work in rotation on pre-defined activities. The activities are mostly done individually but peer-to-peer support is possible/desirable.
